ISLES DEFEAT THE BRUINS IN REGULATION 4-2

BY, EVERYDAYISLES

The Islanders take down the Bruins by a score of 4-2! Absolutely incredible performance from the Isles tonight against the powerful Bruins to extend their point streak to 6 games. The Boston Bruins were 9-0-1 in their last 10 games before tonight and only have 2 regulation losses so far this season both against the New York Islanders. Pageau opened the scoring and with a quick goal by Jordan Eberle he gave the Isles the lead 5 minutes before the first intermission with a clapper. Leo Komarov looked like a completely different hockey player after being placed on waivers yesterday afternoon. Uncle Leo was skating with a purpose tonight as he tallied 2 assists tonight.

"My linemates made it easy for me tonight, starting with Uncle Leo." -J.G. Pageau

J.G. Pageau was on an absolute tear tonight, he scored 2 goals and had 7 shots including an incredible shorthanded goal in the 3rd period assist by none other than Leo Komarov. Boston is a very tough team and kept the pressure on the Isles throughout the game. Mat Barzal continues to dominate as he recorded tonight's GWG in the 3rd period. He took a nice shot from the slot, shot over the bar, and tried it again to tally the go ahead goal for the boys in blue and orange. With a point in tonight's game, Mat Barzal extends his point streak to 8 games which is the longest point streak so far in his career.

"If we play like we did tonight, we're going to be a hard team to beat." -Barry Trotz

With the win tonight that makes 1,300 wins as an NHL General Manager for Lou Lamoriello. He is only the 3rd NHL GM to accomplish this incredible feat. Semyon Varlamov was solid for the Islanders in net tonight, making 28 of 30 saves on these red hot Bruins. The Islanders will travel to Buffalo for a game on Monday. LGI!
